A major showcase event during the Blue Light Withernsea weekend is a return of the annual Withernsea Raft Race ! May include pre-race food fight! Sponsored by Medcalf Builders Ltd, and kindly supported by safety boat Harry B and Hornsea Inshore Rescue.

About the event
As a major showcase event during the Blue Light Withernsea weekend BlipActive are hosting a raft race starting and ending at the RNLI station.
The basic rules are the invited teams will be provided with 4 x 220 litre barrels and they must be the only buoyancy used . They can then use as much wood and strapping as you want to carry 4 people from the beach around a groin end and back to the beach.
Teams competing are Medcalf Builders, RNLI, Withernsea Fire Service and Withernsea Rugby Club. Come and cheer on your favourites!
Medals will be provided to all entrants, with a trophy to the winning team.
