As we prepare for the inaugural Blue Light Weekend in Withernsea, we want to take a moment to recognise an essential part of our community – Humberside Police.
A snapshot of the force's work
Humberside Police are there to ensure the safety and security of our community. But their work extends far beyond responding to emergencies; they're also involved in proactive crime prevention, supporting victims and community engagement.
Engaging with the community
We appreciate the police's efforts to build strong relationships with the community. By participating in events such as Blue Light Weekend, they help bridge the gap between law enforcement and the public, fostering mutual trust and understanding.
Educating through displays and stalls
Humberside Police's presence at Blue Light Weekend is about education. Through their stalls at the event, they'll offer insights into their work, safety tips and information on various local initiatives.
Across the weekend, numerous representatives of local policing teams will be in attendance, including the Safer Roads Humber speed camera van, operational and surveillance vehicles from the Police Rural Task Force, Community Police Officers and PCSOs, the Drug Squad dog, marked traffic vehicles, and the Humberside Police Marine Unit.
Humberside Police will be making an invaluable contribution to the Blue Light Weekend in so many ways – so, when you see their displays, do stop by, say hello and take the opportunity to learn more about their crucial work.
