If you have a sense of adventure and a love of the seaside – then have we got an event for you!
The inaugural Blue Light Weekend in Withernsea is all set to make lasting memories for everyone involved. Visit our official website at www.bluelightwithernsea.com for more details of how you can join in the fun.
Spectacular air show

The event, taking place over the weekend of August 12-13, will be packed with family activities, live entertainment and, of course, a grand display of emergency vehicles.
Get ready to marvel at the fleet of fire engines, ambulances, police cars, lifeboats and coastguard vessels while learning more about their crucial role in keeping us safe.
But we’re not stopping there! The weekend will draw to a spectacular conclusion with Withernsea’s first-ever air show.
The British stunt pilot champion, displays from a Tiger Moth and flypasts by Spitfire and Hurricane planes are set to wow the crowds – and somewhere in between all that, we’ll have parachutists descending from a mile above the prom.
Throughout the weekend you can also expect a fantastic line-up of live music, craft and food stalls, and a variety of family-friendly activities such as our Kidz Corner, giant Sumo wrestling costumes and a return of the popular Runaround game.
Withernsea – the place to be
The Blue Light Weekend, brought to you in association with leading local events company Blip Active, aims to bring the whole community together by celebrating the incredible work of our emergency services.
As a charming seaside town in East Yorkshire, Withernsea is known for its expansive beach and promenade, as well as its unusual and historic lighthouse. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a fun-filled weekend with family and friends while acknowledging the heroics of our blue light personnel.
Supporting our blue light heroes
Above all, though, the Blue Light Weekend is a fundraiser for emergency service charities. By taking part, you'll be supporting your local blue light teams. It's a win-win for everyone: have an amazing time and contribute to a good cause!
So don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to experience a weekend full of excitement, education and community spirit. Mark your calendars and join us at the Blue Light Weekend in Withernsea over August 12-13. We look forward to seeing you there!
Future blogs will showcase each of the exciting events we have lined up for you during the festival, so keep checking back for updates.
